If I’ve said it once, I’ve said it a million times, I really do love Twitter. It is the perfect way to get quick answers from local New Yorkers. The other day I tweeted for help in finding the best place in New York City for waxing. Luckily, three different people suggested Tabi at Uni.K.Wax in Murray Hill.
I was suspicious at first as I’d never heard of this waxing chain but, from their website, I could tell that it is the waxing equivalent of Massage Envy. Each of their locations across the US specialize in all different types of waxing services, each promising the most pleasant waxing experience due to their patented wax formula.
I figured I had nothing to lose, especially with their reasonable prices, and quickly booked an appointment.
Upon entering, their facility reminded me of a dentist office, complete with a small waiting room and calm pastel colored walls.
I perused their catalog of services while I waited for my aesthetician, Tabi.

Within five minutes, Tabi called my name and quickly escorted me back past 10 other private rooms into our room, #3.

I loved that the entire facility, including this room, was spotless. The walls were all a very mellow peach color, relaxing spa music was playing throughout, and my room smelled of spa candles. This was already a wonderful experience and my service had yet to begin.
Tabi quickly talked me through the service, asked me questions, and then stepped out while I prepared for my waxing.
The entire process which followed took less than 10 minutes. She was quick, thourough, and talked to me the entire time which kept my mind off the pain. One of the tricks was their wax. The Uni-K-Wax really is amazing. It is 100% natural and has a different consistency then any hard wax I’ve seen. It stretches and is more pliable than other waxes which makes for a quick and easy process.

*I was not compensated in anyway for this review. I was merely pleased and excited with the wonderful experience I had today after a year of searching for the “right” waxing experience in NYC.
Happy Valentine’s Day readers! I can’t thank you enough for everything you do daily! Without your support this blog wouldn’t exist! Won’t you bee my Valentine all year long? :)

Hope you had a wonderful weekend! In case you’re just catching up, here are the posts and even a video from this weekend’s ski trip!
A Beautiful Day of Skiing at Stratton Mountain
It was a wonderful weekend but now it’s back to reality! So far my Monday has been very productive and better than normal. There was a gorgeous, pink sunrise this morning throughout the city!

After spin class, I received a free banana when buying my unsweetened iced green tea. There was no good reason other than that my barista said Happy Valentines Day! Thank you cupid barista!

My breakfast this morning wasn’t as fancy as my delicious weekend bowls enjoyed in Vermont. But, sometimes it’s nice to enjoy a basic breakfast after a weekend of indulgences.

Last night included another delicious 17 person dinner, cooked primarily by Bo, an impromptu dance party, and plenty of toasts.
But, before dinner we were all in need of some delicious beer to warm our souls after our snow angel adventure. I love the out-take picture just as much as the actual! Look at Tina’s eyes! :)

Bo did an incredible job with dinner last night. I really can’t say enough how much I love his passion. While the rest of us spent our day on the slopes, he gave his knee some much needed rest, cooking the day away. He’s the best hubster!

There was also a pug photo session with Murphy! I think he makes any gal look better. :)

Our two main courses were Vegetable Cassoulet and Beef Bourguignon.

P.S.: I have deleted the annoying automatic email that was being sent after each comment! I apologize for the annoying plug-in and thank those readers who spoke up! :)
Since arriving in Vermont, I’ve had one thing on my mind: snow angels. There is at least 30 inches of snow surrounding my aunt’s house just asking for a throwback to my childhood.
Yesterday, after a great day of skiing, Theodora and I answered the call and ran into the snow ready for some fun! There were some snow angels, a mini snow ball fight, and a photo session!
